Could have been a great yarn, but…

The author can write well enough. Prose is clean and believable, when it sticks to the plot. The effect is destroyed by the political bias that falls into diatribe. The artifice of weaving real historic figures into the take is not new, but to ascribe as facts things that are, at best, fodder for conspiracy theorists destroys the trust bond between author and reader. Of interest, the prose falters when the "preaching" starts. Religion, distribution of wealth, evil of Reagan. All too much…
